booleep is the creation of Swedish-Canadian artist, Nicole Palmquist, who studied Illustration within the Ontario College of Art and Design’s Communication & Design program in Toronto, Canada. She is currently based in Los Angeles.

booleep is both a sound and a character within the fictional universe Palmquist has been developing; a visual language derived from anatomical illustration, gesture drawings, and the study of human behavior.

Palmquist is recognized as a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans public art, drawing, and body painting, alongside commercial work as an illustrator and experimental animator. She frequently employs stop motion and analog techniques to preserve and elevate a sense of raw, imperfect, human essence in her work.

Her past drawings and sequential sketches increasingly serve as visual concepts, sketches and storyboards for emerging film projects, merging mediums, blending fictional characters with real environments, objects and narratives.
